A complete weight and balance kit includes one plotter (template), one graph, and detailed instructions. Plotters are manufactured from black anodized aluminum and all information on them is computer engraved. They are guaranteed to last longer than your aircraft! As an option, you may have your plotter personalized with either your name, aircraft registration number, serial number, or company logo. There are three different options for the graphs:

1. For part 91 (private operators), the graph comes laminated 20mm thick. it can be used repeatedly with a ballpoint pen or fine tip marker. Wipe clean when done. The flip side has a handy flight planning form or checklist (customer supplied). Part 91 operators may also use (2) or (3).

2. Part 121, 125, 135, and 141 (commercial) operators are required to keep a permanent record in duplicate of their weight and balance calculations for multiengine aircraft. To comply with this regulation, the graph is printed in pads of 500 sheets each, and is available in either plain paper or NCR (carbonless) duplicate or triplicate paper.

3. Commercial operators may option for a flight release form. This is a form which includes the graph and other required data such as date, crew, number of passengers, origin and destination. We will typeset the form for you, or you can send us a camera ready photostat. If you already have a form, we can print the graph on the back side of it. 4. American Aeronautics also laminates checklists, passenger information cards, performance charts, etc., and produces custom engraved placards and nameplates.

NOTE: The graphs are copyrighted and it is illegal to reproduce them. Only American Aeronautics can print the graphs because the FAA approval of the system is based upon the graphs dimensional accuracy.* If some other reproduction of the graph is used, the approval is negated, and the operator is in violation of the FAR's. However, since we print graphs by the millions, we charge less than any commercial printer (guaranteed).

*Copiers always expand an image 1 to 2 percent (you can check this by copying a ruler), and printers usually use the paper masters to reproduce low volume material, and these paper masters stretch at least 2 percent during the run. Since the plotter has not stretched an equal amount, the accuracy of the calculation is lost.
